This is something I will be very blunt about, any computer engineer that is suggesting that I am falling into the "fear-mongering" of AI, first of all you're an idiot, second, just read through and take what I say at face value rather than trying to discover some deeper meaning about why I hold these opinions because you're too tunnel visioned to understand where actual **artists** are coming from.
First of all, the only people (at least to my knowledge) that I found who defend AI generated "art" are computer engineers, computer scientists, tech bros and those who ride Elon Musk's cock. In short, those who have little to no art skills support this -40 R-Tard tool. There are many reasons why people hate AI art as opposed to fearing it. I will briefly mention the main reasons why I hate AI art, and why others do as well.
-In order for AI art to function, it has to steal from other artists.
-It requires at most a little bit of creativity.
-Undermines artists skills, work and dedication to study
-Known to fabricate and not innovate (only innovates on the tech itself but provides nothing to the art community)
-AI is not scary, most of it is more neural interfaces and its just predictive texts.
-Souless...no matter how much work is put into it.
-Its EVERYWHERE and greatly over-saturated the internet.
I don't find AI art scary, nor do I think it will replace me or other artists, AI art looks uncanny and has no direction (even if morons decide to add it direction by using photoshop and then recompiling...looking at you shadiversity) not to mention there is not even a basic understanding on perspective or lighting. It's not creative, it's just average. I do recognise it could be used as a tool to get rid of busy work, but it's ill-minded to have it even take up 25% of your workflow.
This letter will be updated and will be more thought out overtime, but this is a general statement on why I think AI art is terrible and why most people hate it.
